Perseverance is breaking through…
If you’re feeling tired, behind, or discouraged right now…
you’re not alone.
Late January hits every man the same way:
Motivation fades.
Life gets loud.
Pressure rises.
Habits wobble.
But this moment is not failure —
it’s an opportunity to reset.
Today’s newsletter gives you three reset questions, a short devotional, and a grounding prayer to steady your soul.
Your Mid-January Reset
January is known for two things: High expectations… and low motivation.
Around week three or four, something shifts.
The new-year excitement wears off.
The old routines return.
Life gets busy again.
And the pressure you felt on January 1 starts whispering:
“You’re falling behind.”
“You’re not disciplined enough.”
“You already messed up.”
“Why even keep trying?”
But listen: This moment isn’t a setback.
It’s a signal.
A signal to slow down.
A signal to realign.
A signal to return to who you are.
A signal to let God renew your strength.
Perseverance Isn’t Glamorous
Galatians 6:9 reminds us: “Don’t grow weary in doing good… for in due season you will reap a harvest if you don’t give up.”
Perseverance rarely looks heroic.
Most of the time, it looks like showing up on a Tuesday when no one sees.
It looks like small obedience.
It looks like getting back up after slipping.
It looks like praying even when you don’t feel spiritual.
It looks like reading one verse instead of none.
It looks like being present with your family even when you feel drained.
God isn’t asking for perfection —
He’s asking for your presence.
Don’t quit.
Reset.
God does His best work in men who refuse to give up.
Ask Yourself:
1. What’s one thing weighing me down right now?
2. What’s one small step I can take today?
3. Who do I need to reach out to?
Call to Action:
Pray this slowly: “Lord, renew my strength for the second half of the month. Steady my heart. Calm my mind. Restore my motivation. Help me return to who You say I am. Lead me one step at a time. Amen.”
