Leading with Resurrection Power—Are You Serving or Striving?
Got 3 minutes? This could transform how you lead and work with others.

Serving in humility
We often think of resurrection power in personal terms—victory over sin, renewed strength, or deepened faith. But what about how we lead and serve others? The resurrection isn’t just about personal renewal; it’s about transforming the way we interact with people in our workplaces, ministries, and teams.
"Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus."
The world pushes us to strive for success, recognition, and status. But resurrection power flips the script—it calls us to serve over striving, reconcile over resentment, and collaborate over competition.
How to Lead with a Resurrection Mindset
1. Serve Over Striving
Jesus didn’t cling to His rights—He humbled Himself to serve (Philippians 2:7). True leadership isn’t about pushing to the top but lifting others up. Who in my team or workplace can I support today rather than compete with?
2. Reconciliation Over Resentment
The resurrection brings healing, not just spiritually but relationally. Don’t let pride or past wounds poison your team. Extend grace and seek unity. Is there anyone I need to forgive or make things right with?
3. Collaboration Over Competition
A resurrection mindset means celebrating others’ success, not seeing them as threats. The mission is bigger than personal ambition. Am I working for my own glory, or for something greater?
Ask Yourself:
How is the pressure to hustle impacting your mental health and spiritual life?
Are you carving out time to rest and connect with God?
What would it look like to let go of control and trust God with your dreams and ambitions?
Call to Action:
Choose One Way to Serve Instead of Strive Today – Look for an opportunity to help, encourage, or support someone around you, whether at work, home, or church. Instead of focusing on personal recognition, shift your mindset to serving with humility, just as Jesus did.
Practice the "Others First" Mindset – Before making a decision or responding in a conversation today, ask yourself: Am I putting others before myself, as Philippians 2:3-5 calls me to? Look for a way to listen better, extend grace, or build unity in your interactions.
