Stop Settling—Are You Living in Resurrection Power?

Got 3 minutes? This could change how you live today.

Is new life possible?

“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”

Romans 8:11

What Happens After Easter?

Many of us rejoice on Easter Sunday, singing about Jesus' victory over sin and death. But by Monday morning, we’re back to old habits—worrying about our finances, struggling with the same temptations, feeling stuck in patterns that don’t reflect the freedom Jesus purchased for us. The same Spirit that brought Jesus out of the grave is alive in you. But are you living in that reality, or just going through the motions?

What Does Resurrection Power Look Like in Everyday Life?

1. Overcoming Sin and Struggles

The resurrection broke the power of sin, but too often, we live as if it still holds us captive. When temptation or negative thoughts arise, remind yourself: I have resurrection power within me. Sin is no longer my master.

  • Identify one area where sin has kept you stuck.

  • Speak truth over it: Because of Christ, I am free! (John 8:36)

2. Walking in New Habits

Renewal isn’t just about removing the old—it’s about stepping into something new. Transformation happens when we align our daily lives with the Spirit’s work.

  • Start each morning with surrender: Lord, I give you this day. Shape my thoughts, my actions, my desires.

  • Replace old habits with godly rhythms—prayer, scripture, worship, and gratitude.

3. Embracing the Spirit’s Work

The Holy Spirit is not distant; He is active and available to empower you. But He won’t force His way in—you must invite Him.

  • Take time in scripture, not as a checklist, but as a way to be filled with His presence.

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas that need transformation.

Ask Yourself:

  • What’s one area in your life where you’ve been living in defeat, and how can you start walking in the resurrection power of Christ?

  • Are there old habits, mindsets, or struggles that you need to surrender to the Holy Spirit? What new habits can you replace them with?

  • How can you intentionally invite the Holy Spirit to renew and empower you in your daily walk with Christ?

Call to Action:

  • Take a moment today to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal an area in your life that needs resurrection power. Write it down and commit to surrendering it to God daily this week.

  • Share one way you’ve seen God’s power transform your life in the comments or reply to this email. Your testimony could encourage someone else on their journey!
