Want Stronger Relationships? Try Serving Together!

Got 3 minutes? Let’s talk about how serving together changes everything.

Serving brings us together

Faith That Connects Us

Faith isn’t meant to be a solo journey—it thrives in community. Whether in your marriage, family, workplace, or church, serving together deepens relationships, builds trust, and strengthens your shared purpose. Philippians 2:3-4 reminds us, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition… rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” When we shift our focus from me to we, we grow closer to God and each other in ways we never imagined.

Why Serving Together Matters

Serving isn’t just about meeting needs—it’s about transforming relationships. Strong teams—whether in marriage, family, or work—are built on a foundation of service. When couples serve side by side, their bond deepens. When families prioritize helping others, their love grows stronger. When churches operate with unity, they become an unstoppable force of compassion. Love isn’t just felt—it’s lived out through action.

Is Your Faith Bringing Others Closer?

Serving together strengthens faith and relationships. It shifts our focus from what we get to what we give—and in the process, we become more like Jesus.

This week, look for one way to serve with someone else. It doesn’t have to be complicated:
✅ As a couple: Cook a meal for a family in need or pray together for someone struggling.
✅ As a family: Volunteer at church, clean up a neighbor’s yard, or write encouragement notes.
✅ At work: Offer to help a coworker without being asked, or start a small kindness initiative.

Ask Yourself:

  • Is my faith bringing me closer to others, or am I living it alone?

  • How can I invite my spouse, family, or friends to serve alongside me this week?

  • What would change in my relationships if we prioritized serving together?

Call to Action:

  • Serve Together This Week – Find one way to serve with your spouse, family, or team. Whether it’s volunteering, helping a neighbor, or supporting someone in need, do it together.

  • Start a Habit of Shared Service – Set a time this month to serve as a family or group—maybe a community project, a church event, or simply showing kindness to someone who needs it.
